Our most recent shows have been original stories, told with music compiled from Broadway, Hollywood, and American standards. Other past shows have been original musical revues featuring a particular composer, such as Jerry Herman, George Gershwin, Johnny Mercer, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, to name a few.
In the past, we performed on the NIH campus. After the events of September 11, 2001, increased security around the NIH campus has complicated performing there. Therefore, the BLT has performed at other venues, with their greatest success being at the The Writer’s Center in Bethesda MD. New productions usually occur in the early spring with auditions held at the beginning of the year. Road shows follow after a month or two of closing and continue the rest of the year.
